In 1936 Arthur Mee and his researches set out to see all England and record all they saw. Publishing the series of Kings England was a monumental task, they resulted in the first census of the ancient and historical places in England since the arrival of the motor car. As well as the known facts the series also recorded strange and unusual details and include photographic illustrations of many buildings now demolished, and places now transformed by new towns and roads.

Each volume was published separately, 41 volumes in total, county by county covering 10,000 towns villages and hamlets.

CONDITION
Binding and pages are very clean, dust-wrapper has wear and tape repairs.
