What I have for auction is a vintage - 1947 book titled "FIRST LESSONS IN BEEKEEPING" by C.P. Dadant and published by The American Bee Journal, Hamilton, Illinois - no dust jacket.

Some of the contents:
Beekeeping as in Occupation - How The Colony is Organized - The Complete Hive - Accessory Equipment - Establishing the Colony - Spring in the Apiary - Summer in the Apiary - Fall and Winter Preparation - Queen Management - Diseases and Enemies - Honey Plants - Packing Honey for Market.

The book measures 9-1/4"H x 6-1/8"W and has 127 pages including an Index. The book is in a blue cloth binding with the title, author on the cover and the spine. The corners are slightly bumped as well as the top and bottom of the spine. The book is complete and whole and very clean. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos. The photo shows the book cover on the right hand side and the title page on the left hand side.
