Rare first edition Penguin paperback published in 1942 and numbered 70 on the spine. The covers are very creased and worn with splits to the top and bottom of the spine, but still virtually complete with an advert for Rose's lime juice on the back cover. Foxing to the first three pages and the staples have rusted a little with age but otherwise in good, clean, tightly bound condition.
