Los Angeles. The Regional Planning Commission. 1937. Quarto. First Edition. 62 pp. Bound in avocado green cloth with printed title and LA County outline in yellow. Minor shelfwear to tips and edges but quite nice condition. 7 maps (5 large and folding) tipped in with no damage; perhaps not read. Overall, a very good or better copy.

The second and best early traffic survey of Los Angeles. The first survey completed in 1934 by the City of Los Angeles omitted a large portion of the central part of the City. Los Angeles County was able to secure the needed Federal funds the City could not, and therefore was able to complete a much more comprehensive survey.  This survey was instrumental in the development of the Arroyo-Seco Parkway - California's First Freeway. This ushered in the era of the modern Freeway system that followed its completion.
