1937 Old English Canteen SOLID Silver Cutlery 1494g!

THIS WONDERFUL CANTEEN HAS JUST COME IN AND IS WELL WORTH OWNING!!!!!

Here we have a quite exceptional 42 PIECE old english pattern canteen of solid silver cutlery for 6 place settings.Hallmarks are deep and clear to all pieces. 

This extensive set is of exceptional quality and is a most impressive huge suite of table silver.Weight of actual silver is a staggering 1494 grams (48.04 troy ounces)!!Please note that this weight does NOT include the weight of the 12 solid silver handled knives. 

Each silver piece is made of thick gauge silver throughout. 

All are assayed in Sheffield,1937 (year letter u) by high quality makers Walker & Hall. 

Comprises:

6 dessert spoons-7 inches in length-288 grams combined

6 teaspoons-5.125 inches in length-138 grams combined

6 dessert forks-6.875 inches in length-288 grams combined 

6 serving spoons-8 inches in length-384 grams combined

6 dinner forks-7.5 inches in length-396 grams combined

ALL THE ABOVE 30 PIECES ARE VERY HEAVY GAUGE ITEMS.

Also included are the following knives with stainless steel blades and fully hallmarked silver handles-these are all assayed in Sheffield,1987 by S&L:
