'SPODE'S BYRON' Series No.1

Circa 1936

In Lovely Condition - No cracks, crazing or chips

The plate features the familiar design of a passing woman chatting to a neighbour over a wall - the dog has startled one of the chickens in the basket

The rim carries a delightful black & white vine pattern, interspersed with Green Leaves

The plate has Eight sides and also has a raised ridge that divides the plate into 4

The backstamp states:

Copeland

Spode

England

SPODE'S BYRON

Series No.1

There is also an impressed mark:

  36

And a painted Number 4

The Plate measures approx:

9.5"  (24.5cm) Across the flats
