1930's ART DECO CHROMED LETTERBOX Pat.no 438619






Description:

You are bidding on a very interesting item.It is a C1930 ART DECO CHROMED LETTERBOX/KNOCKER.It is in reasonable condition.There is some microblistering to the chrome,but it would be improved by a good polish.The flap is actually removable so it would be possible to diassemble and have rechromed quite easily.There is a Patent number 438619 on it.The metal is straight and not cracked/fatigued.No evidence of it ever having been spring loaded.The aperture for the letters is approx 5 3/4" across X 1 3/8ths" deep.The width with the front flipped down is 6 15/16ths".It would make a great gift or addition to your collection.PLEASE see pictures for details and ask me any questions you may have BEFORE you bid.MANY THANKS for looking and please see my other listings for similar interesting items.Multiple purchases are always posted together where possible with generous discounts where I am able.
