TELEPHONE DETAILS

THIS IS A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF A VERY ELEGANT AND COLLECTABLE TELEPHONE FROM AN AGE WHEN YOU HAD TIME TO DIAL. THE TELEPHONE IS GENUINE WITH ALL THE CORRECT MARKINGS DATING IT TO THE 1930'S, INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL HANDPAINTED 162F ON THE METAL BASE. THIS PARTICULAR MODEL IS AN EARLIER VERSION OF THE PYRAMID 200 SERIES. THE CONDITION OF THE BAKELITE THROUGHOUT IS EXCELLENT WITH NO CHIPS/CRACKS.

THE DIAL IS A GPO No10 SLIPPING CAM DIAL WITH SOLID BRASS PAINTED BLACK FINGERPLATE AND THE LABEL FOR JORDANS 2337(BUCKINGHAMSHIRE) IS GENUINE AND ADDS A LOVELY CHARACTER TO THE TELEPHONE.

I HAVE CONVERTED THE TELEPHONE USING THE TELEPHONES ORIGINAL BRAIDED CORD TO A GPO No25 BAKELITE BELLSET AND (((RINGRINGS))) VERY SWEETLY ON INCOMING CALLS.
THE BAKELITE BELLSET HAS ALL THE CORRECT PARTS TO ALLOW IT TO WORK ON THE MODERN TELEPHONE SYSTEM AND IS IN A VERY GOOD DEEP BLACK CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS.

I HAVE PERSONALLY TESTED THE TELEPHONE THOROUGHLY ON BOTH LANDLINES AND MOBILE NETWORKS AND WORKS FINE WITH CLEAR HEARING AND SPEECH, ALTHOUGH DON'T EXPECT 2009 DIGITAL STANDARDS. IT HAS BEEN FITTED WITH A BRAND NEW BT PLUG AND IS READY TO BE PLUGGED IN AND USED AS SOON AS YOU RECIEVE IT.
