1930 ART DECO STAFFORDSHIRE KNOT SANDWICH PLATE

The registration number on this lovely old Staffordshire plate indicates that it was first registered in 1930. 

It is stamped with a Staffordshire Knot under a crown.  There are no initials in the loops of the knot.  It is also marked “Made in England” and “Reg. No. 759778”.  The number “12” in a circle and the number “234” are impressed on the base.  

It measures 11” by 6” and is colourfully transfer printed with yellow and orange flowers and green leaves. 

This plate has been well used over the years and has some underglaze crazing and signs of general wear and tear.  However, it has no chips or cracks and is offered is good condition.
