A fabulous and very rare ladies' fashion magazine from May 1929, called 'Art Gout Beaute', or AGB for short. This was a very high class magazine published for just a few years in the 1920s, because it used the very time-consuming and costly process of POCHOIR, which applies each colour by hand by way of stencils, even for some of the adverts. This may have been one of the LAST issues.
There is a pochoir plate on the front in sumptuous spring colours by Premet and many other inside, featuring gorgeous Art Deco fashions . Couture designers featured include: Armand, Premet, Worth, Lelong, Jean Patou, Drecoll, Redfern, Molyneux, Paquin, Jenny and others. Also some other colour prints of fashion. So many, many hand coloured items with a spring theme and lots of other pictures too. The adverts too are wonderful Art Deco illustrations in their own right, including lingerie, fabrics, furniture, jewels and much more.
Please note there are no loose fashion plates - I don't know if there ever were.

Condition is good, with the cord still intact. The cover is grubby with some staining in places, and the edges and corners are a bit tatty. Spine is split in places but magazine is intact. The pochoir on the front is stunning and is all hand-painted. Internally very good and the pochoirs are excellent, with a little toning to the outer edges. There are no patterned endpapers to this one. This is nearly 80 years old now.
