Full set of 24 c1927 fortnightly parts of The worlds famous pictures, each edition contains twelve masterpieces in gravure and includes at least one colour plate per edition.
Ideal to keep as a whole or to individually frame, in total some 288 gravure prints. Condition of all prints are excellent, though some wear to actual magazine spines with minor rusting to staples.
All prints are selected by Sir Martin Conway, Sir Claude Phillips, and Sir Charles Holmes director of the national gallery. Each publication was sold for one shilling and three pence in 1927.
