This auction is for a solid silver medal/medallion crafted with cobalt blue and yellow enamelling on the front with the words 'Smethwick and Dist Football League'.
The badge is fully hallmarked with an anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant for sterling silver and date letter 'B' for 1926-27. There are also the maker's initial's T&S.
Measurement approx 1.1/8" not including the bail and quite weighty at 12 grams!
In very good vintage condition - just a little wear to the enamelling commensurate with age.
Boxes/chains for pendants may not be included unless stated. Most of the jewellery/items I sell are vintage and pre-owned/pre-worn therefore some wear is to be expected commensurate with age and use. I am not an expert, just a lover of vintage jewellery and small collectables and a collector myself. I shall describe all my items to the best of my ability, highlighting any flaws but please let me know if you think I have made a mistake in my description.
