Nice old novel. Decorated end papers, monochrome tissue covered frontis illustration, gilt decoration to cover. Gilt to top edge of pages.
The Net tells us that: "Anatole France (1844— 1924), was a French poet, journalist, and novelist. He was a successful novelist, with several best-sellers. Ironic and skeptical, he was considered in his day the ideal French man of letters. He won the Nobel prize for Literature."
Condition: Cover a bit rubbed, especially to spine covering, rubbing to gilt on front cover with some gilt rubbed away, foxing to edge of pages, a bit of foxing to pages but generally decent and fairly clean inside.
