1920s VINTAGE CAR HORN DUAL BEEP AND KLAXON TYPE

This is a genuine  fully working Vintage Car Horn.  Its 12 volt measuring 20 cm horn rim front to rear so  too large and wrong voltage  to fit on my Austin Chummy.

 I was going to fit it to my Vintage Fiat but never got round to it .I sold the Fiat years ago and  am having a garage clear out.

The horn part is brass as shown where I have stripped off some of the oxidisation which shows a hair line split on the under part of the horn about 7cms long, which could be left or filled, It could be highly polished, to me polished would look great, but originally it was painted black.

I leave the choice to you so I havent cleaned it.

The mechanism part  and the mounting frame is in aluminium with four bolt holes .The electric motor  which drives the klaxon part is in steel. There are two sets of electrical conections one each for the two tones,

 I have replaced three missing screws in steel because I could not find any in Brass.

The brass plaque on the rear states that it was manufactured in France by AMPLOR V. R. 86 Rue de la Garenne COURBEVOIE.It is called an AVERTISSEURS GENTILHOMME.

Two other marks are the number 57 and the letters Bte S.O.D.O.
