This bottle always makes me think of an Agitha Christie novel, Midsomer Norton sounds such a nice quaint and sleepy village the perfect place for one of her murder novels. Sadly I've never visited the place if its not like that.

Anyway up for auction is a deeply embossed lovely blue/green aqua coloured glass 1 pint beer bottle embossed G PRIOR & CO, MIDSOMER NORTON and in the centre the trade mark made up of the letters G and P intertwined with & CO. Its in great condition and still retains its original vulcanite stopper embossed the same as the bottle with G P impressed.

The bottle dates 1910 to 20s, the glass is in great shape but has a few minor wear marks picked up through use and long burial in a long forgotten and overgrown refuse tip.
