This unusual bottle contained what was probably one of the first alcho pops. It is made from frosted glass and is embossed SHAKER and below that with the shape of a cocktail shaker and below that COCKTAILS. The bottle is shaped like a Cocktail Shaker but was in fact a bottle that has an early crown cap sealer lip.
I guess this was manufactured and marketed for the people who wanted the glamour of the cocktail clubs (all the rage in the 1920's and 30's) but couldn't afford the lifestyle. This bottle was recovered from a long forgotten and bygone refuse tip dated from the 1920s to 30's. It's in good condition but would benefit from a good soak and clean having only been given a quick wash in soapy water. It has a tiny flea bite chip from the embossed shaker as can be seen in the photo. This would make a great go with for anyone owning a period house or cocktail cabinet or collector of Deco a little bit of deco glamour today.
