kkk 1915 Ford Model “T” kkk 1:43 Scale kkk Limited Edition Number B 5597 kkkkkkkkkkk C The model “T” has a unique place in history. Earned through it character. It was cheap, sturdy, reliable, versatile and easy to repair, even by an unskilled person. It had a unique two-point suspension system. It was said of the “T” that it could almost anywhere except into society. It has been recorded climbing flights of steps. It was light and functional. It was propelled by a 22.4 h.p. Side valve engine and an unconventional epicyclical gearbox. Controlled by an unusual system of pedals. It could be temperamental; it had a kick like a mule if it did not want to start. Even the proudest owner would hardly describe his “Tin Lizzie” as attractive or comfortable. If any single man made article made history, then that article was the Model “T” Ford Automobile. This is a model of the 1915 Tourer version and would have set you back £125.00 from Henry Ford’s Factory in Manchester. kkk This is one of the Rare colour schemes among the Corgi 1915 Ford model T’s This lovely precision model of a 1915 Ford Model “T” measures approximately three and a quarter by two and quarter inches. It has red body on a black chassis. Upholstery is black; the superb imitation canvas hood is an attractive white. The Radiator and lights are gold coloured. The condition of this rare model is above fair. It comes in its original box. The box is in fair condition for its age. Though it has some staining, also the tops side label mysteriously reads 1910 Renault but the insert inside the lid is defiantly a tin Lizzie. kkk |
