Measuring 8¾" x 6" (approx) this volume is bound in green cloth with a gilt lettered spine.

The boards and spine have the usual shelf-wear for a book of this age with some rubbing to the extremities, typical corner bumping and marking.

The binding is firm and the text block is tight.

There are 256 paginated pages and a further 24 plates at the rear.

The pages are generally clean with the occasional smudge and typical browning to the end papers.

This work is well illustrated with black & white photos, illustrations and maps.

This Catalogue of Sculpture and archaeological artifacts in the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities of the British Museum is by Arthur H. Smith.

It contains numerous photos, maps, illustrations and architectural drawings as well as comprehensive descriptions of famous works such as the Elgin Marbles and the Portland Vase.

As well as sculpture the guide describes gold ornaments jewelry and archaeological artifacts from Greek and Roman life and also Etruscan art.
