1910 Ladies Lace, Pearl Leather WEDDING SHOES SLIPPERS
VICTORIAN WOMENS TWO-TONE HIGH-TOP BOOTS
Stunning pair of antique Victorian women's wedding or bride kid leather shoes measuring approximately 9-1/4" long from heel to toe and about 2-1/2" long at widest part of sole - heel is 1-1/4" tall. Dating to around the first part of the 1900s, these are hand tailored to fit, designed as wedding slippers to be worn once on that special day. Decorated with tiers of satin "bows" and a pearl center, they have an inset heel with original heel mount and leather sole. Made of soft cream kid, ribbon accents are mounted on elastic bands which would have held the shoes on should the celebrations become too enthusiastic!
Condition is very nice with minimal scuffing on the toe point, loss of elasticity to the bands and some loss of the fine kid skin over the wood heels - does not detract. Perfect in a Victorian display, they are absolutely beautiful - wonderful addition to any home or display!
