This bottle is in great condition an early green glass and crudely made ELDRIDGE POPE beer bottle from the world famous brewery. It still retains its original vulcanite stopper showing an embossed picture of a hunts man. The bottle is deeply embossed with ELDRIDGE POPE & CO LIMITED DORCHESTER.

Sadly like many other breweries this company has now gone and its site is being built upon. The bottle dates to 1910 to 20s, the glass is in great shape but has a few minor wear marks picked up through use and burial on a long forgotten and overgrown refuse tip.
