& now the boring stuff.............

ACCEPTABLE PAYMENT METHODS :-
In addition to NOCHEX (which I prefer)
I accept :- PAYPAL ,
UK postal orders, UK Cheques,
International money orders if in STERLING ( UK pounds)
For other acceptable payment options please feel free to ask

We endeavour to ship items on a Tuesday (most of our auctions finish on a Monday evening) and also make a trip to the post office on a Friday. This means that if you pay electronically at the end of an auction, it will most likely be in the post the following day. Should you prefer to send payment by mail, there may be a delay due to our not receiving your payment on or near a posting day - we do not usually wait for cheques to clear, but ship on receipt, but reserve the right to wait for clearance for larger than average sums.

Our standard shipping options are listed in the description / auction page, we will however be open to requests for different services to meet any deadlines , or packaging requests you may have - Please ask BEFORE bidding.

Delivery times will vary according to destination, but these are usually :-

Inland 2nd Class ............  2 - 4 working days after posting

Airmail Europe ................  3 - 5 working days after shipping

Airmail Rest of World......  5 - 7 working days after shipping

We always obtain a certificate of posting, stamped by a post office, and will provide that (upon request) for use in claiming against Royal Mail should that be necessary

Our General terms of sale are as follows :-

The sale is not complete in our eyes unless the buyer is happy. If there is anything wrong with your purchase, you can be sure it was not intentional and can often be rectified - please contact us before leaving adverse feedback. Unfair (in our eyes) feedback will receive an appropriate response.

We will accept a return (at our expense) if the item is  significantly not as described. By this we understand that, as old prints and magazines, are by their very nature used, they can reasonably be expected to have nicks, small tears and handling marks; our not mentioning a small tear to the edge of a page does not, we feel, constitute being significantly different to the description.

We will not generally accept returns simply because the item did not suit, or arrived too late for an occasion.

We generally only sell antique items, and we will always state if they are younger. All our prints, maps and Magazines are ORIGINAL (from the date stated) and not re-prints or scans - you get the original article. Should a date be given as 1885 C - this means Circa or approximately, thereabouts.

We actually collect books, and from our own books etc we can date and source prints, enabling us to give a very good idea from where a print may have been taken. We do not break books, but get them from various sources, already removed. (Most people are not aware that prior to circa 1900, Most prints came from books, and it was not until later that they were  printed specifically for distribution separately)

Where we KNOW where an item comes from, we will divulge this information to the buyer - In the event we do not KNOW, we will be able to give a general idea based on research and experience.

There is a contact link in every description, and can be found at the beginning of this listing.

Please feel free to ask any questions
