is a beautiufl Solid Mahogany library bookcase cabinet dating to the
late 18th century, George 3rd period.
Made of solid mahogany, the chest stands on tall cabriole legs with
beautiful pad feet supporting a good sized fitted base having wide
single drawer above. The drawer is well (original) lined and of
hand dovetail construction within being baize lined and
sectioned. The drawer fronts have wonderful fretted brass handles to
centre surrounded by cock beaded
borders. Above this is a tall and wide astragal glazed bookcase
cabinet. The interior has original shelves that are adjustable.Finished
with a flared edge pelmet above having a carved dentil beneath.
Original back
panels in place. The item dismantles into 2 pieces for ease of movement
and transportation
Condition
Offered in a very good and solid condition commensurate with age. This
item
is old so please do not expect it to be as new. Free of worm and solid
in joint, polished and ready to use. (see photo)
