18th CENTURY OAK JEWELLERY BOX WITH ORIGINAL LOCK & KEY










Description

This is an 18th Century oak footed jewellery box with original lock and keys on  both draws.  Inside is lined with dusky pink velvet.

The lid is hinged and the top section is separated into two compartments.  Ornate brass eschuchen to lock.

There are two small rectangular sections on top of the lid that have been filled - possibly where there was a small mirror attached originally.

The bottom section is a pull out drawer which is also separated into two sections.

One foot is missing.

Length 11 1/4" (29 cm).  Height 7 1/2" (19 cm).  Depth 6" (15 cm).
