Description

Firstly... to really appreciate the item you need to ENLARGE the images...left mouse click ...some taken with the camera will enlarge..... some are taken with & without flash.

 

Well a rather nice HORSE HOOF which has been made into a paperweight or just a decoration..its abit macabre in todays world ...but of course this chap thought alot about his horse ..so in memory of it hes had it made into this.

The metal work is only silver plated ..with a silver plated horse shoe too. 

Top is engraved with a fine picture of the horse head facing left...with its name " CHERRY RIPE " Entered my Service at Dublin. August 1878 ..Died at Cheltenham  August 1896 ..COL.G.A. NOVES . R.A. ...ROYAL ARTILLERY.

The hoof looks very life like with the engraved part around the back too.    

 

Apologies for my dark photographs too.

 

The hoof is 6inch x 5inch at the bottom x 2.5inch tall.
