Vintage,18 size Elgin pocket watch, serial number 4267296. Made in 1890.
High quality, Nickel 11 jewel movement needs cleaning and adjusting. Good balance. Watch runs but not reliably.
Stem wind and lever set. Illinois silveroid (nickel) case. Nice white porceline dial is free of chips, but has light hairline
crack near the 7-9 o'clock (see pictures). Watch winds and sets ok.
Case has light scratches , one small ding and corrosion spots (should buff out) due to age. Crystal has light scratches.
Case back and front screw on and off like they should.
Hands are blued and rust free.
Case is approximately 2 1/16 inches or 52 mm wide ( not counting winder ).
Watch is well worth restoring!
