British Gold 5 pound coin of 1887
Jubilee year
struck 40 gram gold monster coin
The gold 5 pound crown was the pinnacle
spending money of high society in Victorian England- a bit like a platinum
card is today, this was the original 'gold card' (literally) that got you
through the doors of high society.
Nowadays they are the jewel in the crown of any
serious collector of gold or Victorian coins. And not only that they have a
high intrinsic gold value being 40 grams of solid 22 carat gold.
This piece is in about EF grade with the usual
surface scratches associated with such a soft metal coin, however a nice
absence of edge knocks and not any wear makes it a good investment.
The last of these coins for sale at auction on
eBay at
this auction fetched 745 pounds this week and our reserve is set
sensibly below that. Of course gold continues to rise so by the end of the
auction this coin may be worth more than it is now.....
Due to the high cash gold content, we are only
able to take cash in the bank or a cheque on this item (Paypal surcharges
and ebay fees just eat away at our margin too much) Or cash on collection,
please email us first.
We will only post this special delivery due to
its value.
Please don't be afraid of us or getting ripped
off, we are a POWERSELLER!
