From a box of disbound (not by me!) Victorian Encyclopedia - Circa 1868
A PAIR OF finely detailed prints from Wood or steel engraving entitled :-
' ANATOMY '
Number 1 is subtitled Front View of the Male Skeleton and shows :-
a 2 dimensional diagramatic representation of the skeleton, and a second image which has been shaded and drawn to give a more 3 dimensional appearance
It also has an extensive list of the various bones which are lettered on the 1st diagram and listed off to the side
Number 2 is subtitled Reference to the back View of the Male Skeleton and shows :-
As the first print, but viewed from the rear
Each print measures overall 320 x 230 mm ( 13 x 5.75 ") approx, and has two ' as published' folds ( print one has some light foxing to these folds) -
CONDITION
It is on good quality paper with a blank reverse, and in good condition (unless otherwise mentioned in the main body of this description) with a little fading around the edges of borders not affecting the print.
Sometimes there are binding holes and witness marks which will be visible in the scan - if in doubt please ask for a jpeg to view closer
