19th Century (1871) English Porcelain
Chamber Pot
Makers mark on bottom: Edge, Malkin & Co.
This is a very rare pot!
Width: 9.75" (from handle to opposite side of pot)
Height: 8" (from top handle to bottom of pot)
Condition: There is crazing in the glaze, but it is not severe and only noticable upon close inspection. It is more noticable on the inside of the pot. There are light surface scratches on the inside bottom of the pot. There are no chips in the pot or lid. The only evidence of a crack is in the pot handle. It appears more like a split in the seam that may have been present from the time it was made. The split is 1.25" running from the top band into the middle band of the handle directly in the center.
