This collection of original newspapers contain valuable information, not only for those interested in the history of English law, details in these papers also give an interesting insight of the social history of England through accounts of factory and school conditions in this period of 19th century England during the reign of Queen Victoria.
The serious aspects of the legal system are well reported and the humorous side appears in some of the police crime reports with the excuses of the offenders.

The contents of just one of these 16 page newspapers would be difficult to describe in detail, the whole year in 52 issues is impossible.

CONDITION
This collection was originally bound in three quarter leather over marbled boards, then re-spined again probably early 1900s with poor quality leather (see images), binding is worn and dusty, contents are generally clean, all complete.
