Vellum Indenture by way of Mortgage 10th October 1871 PARTIES - JOHN BANCROFT (Weaver) of Glossop in the County of Derby (1) JOHN STAFFORD (Shoemaker) JOHN BRADLEY (Dresser) JOHN BERRY (Spinner) ELI BUCKLEY (Quarryman) and ROBERT BEEVER (Weaver) all of Glossop (1) PROPERTY - Two plots of land and buildings at Whitfield Glossop in the County of Derby This is a substantial document consisting of two sheets of clear handwriting and measuring approximately 67 x 56 centimetres. The first page has one blue duty paid stamp. On the reverse is the signature of JAMES BOOTH, Clerk with J. & J. Hibbert, Solicitors, Glossop and Hyde together with a receipt for the mortgage advance of £470.00.
