The author of this "Penny Dreadful" was James Malcolm Rymer 1814-1884, for his novels he also uses the pseudonyms Errym and Merry.

104 Parts with two title pages, volume one dated 1861 and volume two dated 1862, both with an index to the engravings and index to contents with a total of 104 illustrations, 829 pages plus indexes and 2 pages of advertisements, all complete.

CONDITION
19th century cloth binding with some wear and slight loss, leather title label to spine. a solid binding, some pages are browned, some have foxing, many have stains, 40 plus pages in volume 1 have a large stain to right hand margin.
Size is 9¾ by 6½ by 1¾ inches thick.
