An 1860 lightly hand tinted fine print from engraving, entitled :-
' Soland Geese '
- A strange bird, known variously as the Solan or Solant goose, or even Sula Bassana ( after Bass rock where many of these ' Gannets' nested ) - frequent visitors to the Solway and Forth
The print measures overall 170 x 115 mm (6.75 x 4.5 " ) approx. It is on good quality paper with a blank reverse.
It is in good condition with a little fading around the edges of borders not affecting the print. This print is ideal for mounting or matting and framing
It comes with a separate title page bearing a small descriptive article
