General Remarks: this 12 volume set covers the range of titles in the "The Waverley Novels". According to Internet sources they were so named because Scott at first did not publicly acknowledge that they were his work and, therefore, the name of the series was taken from the first novel, "Waverley", first published in 1814.

Unpackaged Weight: overall weight 6450g.
Size: each volume 16mo (each volume 17 x 11cm).
Condition:
Externally: rubbing and bumping, some damage to the leather in varying degrees, especially to the spines (see photos), title labels appear to be new compared with the rest of the books, slightly grubby - there is an anomaly to the label on volume 9, it only contains part of the contents.
Internally: slightly dusty in places, some foxing to the early and later pages, a few pages loose but present in volume 4, otherwise generally bright and tightly bound throughout.
Overall Condition: generally in good to very good condition overall, with wear and tear consistent with age and usage.
