1853 Indenture Deed CLAWTON DEVON Mapowder > Banbury.
This is an antique deed of Assignment drawn up in the Reign of Queen Victoria and being 155 years old.
It records a transaction between John Maypowder of Clawton in the County of Devon Yeoman of the one part and Samuel Banbury of the said parish of Clawton in the said County of Devon of the other part.
Recording the Assignment of all that tenement called Taylors situate at North Bar in the Parish of Clawton and secondly that tenement called Hammetts Justment otherwise North Beer
signed by Sleeman and Coles - and the Cohams.
This is a nice document and easy to read throughout - with 2 red wax seals and 1 escutcheoned revenue stamps. The size is 24 inches by 30 inches on 1 sheet of parchment - .
