Original 1850 Bb- Vienna Horn made by "Erste Wiener Produktiv Genossenschaft Musik Instrumentmacher Wien X. Luxenburger Str.69." The Vienna horn uses a peculiar form of double-cylinder valve associated with the Viennese firm Uhlmann of the 1840s known as a pumpenvalve. A pumpenvalve is similar to the standard piston valve, but it is not pushed directly inward. Instead, long push-rods, reach across to each lever key. The pumpenvalve allows the air to flow straight when the valves are not actuated. When pressed, each valve redirects the air stream 90 degrees in one bend, lessening the resistance felt by the player.The valves are quiet and quick, with good compression and pass the 'pop' test. There are no dents or dings. All slides and valves work well. This is a great playing horn. There are no dents or dings. The bore of the cylindrical tubing is .43" (11mm.) Bell diameter:11.42" (29cm.) The horn is in 100% playing condition, and will arrive cleaned, lubed, and ready to play. There are no hard case and mouthpiece included.
