Payment

Payment is due within 5 days of the auction completing. If, however, you intend bidding on other auctions of mine that have not yet completed, you may delay payment until they have completed. Please let me know by email if you wish to do this.

I accept payments with PayPal or UK Sterling cheques, Postal Orders or Money Orders. If you are posting payment, I would appreciate it if you could advise me of that by email. In exceptional circumstances I can accept US$ or Euro cheques for purchases over £30.00, but there is an additional £6.50 service fee payable by the purchaser. This is the amount that my bank will charge me to negotiate an overseas cheque. Please contact me before making this type of payment.

Postage, packing and insurance

Unless indicated otherwise, all items are despatched by Royal Mail First Class Mail (U.K.) or Airmail (overseas). Postage and packing costs for this auction item are detailed below. Multiple purchases can usually be combined for a single purchase cost, but please check before assuming that is the case. It is not feasible, for example, to mail a rolled map and a folded map in a single shipment.

I usually post items within 1 -2 days of payment having been received using suitable packaging for the item. Please note that I accept no liability for non-delivery or damage of your purchase, unless you have taken out adequate insurance at the time of payment.

Insurance options available are as follows:-

U.K. only

Recorded Delivery – additional 66p postage. This does not insure the item, but requires a signature on receipt.

Special Delivery Next Day – amount dependant on weight. Typically, an additional £4.00 for small items, but please check before payment. This option provides insurance up to £500.

Overseas

International Signed For – an additional £5.00, providing insurance up to £500.

Please note that all these costs are in addition to the postage and packing costs below.

Refunds

I try to ensure that I describe and picture the items that I sell as accurately as possible. If, however, you purchase an item that is not as described, I am prepared to offer a refund, providing the item is returned to me in the same condition that it was received.
