Mark Akenside 1721-1770 English poet, classicist, and physician to the Queen. One of the minor members of the Graveyard school, born at Newcastle Upon Tyne, he is best known for his poem "The Pleasures Of Imagination, written in blank verse derived from Milton's, it was modelled on the Roman poets. This work is complete with engraved frontispiece portrait and a total of 312 page.
