This 1830 edition of the works of the Scottish Poet contains in volume 1, a 104 page biography plus his most famous poems, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. 
Volume 2 contains all his other works including hymns and songs including his original words to his hymn Rule Britannia England's best known patriotic hymn.
Each volume has its own title page, volume 1 contains frontispiece portrait of Thompson with facsimile signature.
Over 500 pages in total.

CONDITION
Half leather bindings, spine with raised bands and gilt lettered titles, decorative endpapers, all edges marbled.
There are a few annotations in pencil in the margins of volume 1 containing the poems of the seasons, they appear to be useful information relating to the poems added by some previous owner, they can easily be removed.

Size of each volume is 6½ by 4 inches.
