Description

**PLEASE VISIT MY EBAY SHOP FOR OTHER FASHION ITEMS**

A superlative ORIGINAL hand-coloured engraved plate from 'La Belle Assemblee', one of the premier publications of the high Regency period. This is an early  'Ladies Chapeau Bras and Full Dress for Routs, the Opera and Thatres', from  April  1814. Complete with accompanying TEXT - several pages.

Please note that these 'Belle Assemblee' plates are much rarer than those from Ackermann's Repository. Often the models are more individual than Ackermann and publication started some years before Ackermann.

A really stunning pose and a work of art in its own right. Finer than the contemporary Ackermann's in my opinion, both in design and execution.

Condition: very good.

Measures approx: 9" x 5.5".
