1800's Fine Ant. Tablework Mourning Hair & Gold Brooch

Offered for sale is this exquisite Victorian, 1800's, mourning hair brooch. A charming piece of memorial jewellery.

The brooch is worked with the rarer 'blonde' tablework mourning hair. Mounted to a gold pin and hinge, with further engraved panel to the front, engraved with 'father'.  

This is just one of several items of fine antique mourning hair jewellery, being listed this week. They came from a small collection of similar jewelley.

The brooch measures 2 & 3/8 inches across by 3/4 of an inch approx.

Condition is very good, hairwork appears in super condition. The engraved panel to the front has a small hole for a drop to be hung. There is no drop present at the moment. This is hard to notice, but has been mentioned for TOTAL accuracy.  Working pin and 'c' catch are present and also in good working order. A superb example.
