Offered for sale is this utterly charming, Victorian, 1800's, plaited mourning hair bracelet. A wonderful piece of memorial jewellery.
As mentioned above the bracelet band is worked in plaited hair, four already finely plaited rows. Very strong, no damage to the hair. The clasp is gold cased, beautifully engraved with working barrel clasp. There is a further decorative gold cased roundel charm hung from one side. Bobble charm has a '10' inscribed to the top.
The bracelet measures 6 & 3/4 inches in length approx. Width of band measures 1/2 of an inch across approx.
This is just one of several items of fine antique mourning hair jewellery, being listed this week. They came from a small collection of similar jewelley.
Condition is very good, hairwork is in very good order, it is in very strong condition.
