 John George Zimmerman 1728-1795 was a Swiss physician and philosophical writer.
This work his study on the aspects of solitude was first published in German in 1784 titled Betrachtungen ueber die Einsamkeit.
 This English edition includes a 36 page life of Zimmermann plus 5 full page engravings, a frontispiece portrait and an extra engraved title page.

378 Pages including plus a 6 page booksellers catalogue in rear.

Condition
19th century full leather binding worn with some loss and cracks to spine, pages and plates are browned some with foxing, endpapers have dye stains to hinge edges, all complete.
 Size is 7 by 4¼ inches
