William mason 1725-1797 English poet and divine. He was ordained in 1754 and held a number of posts in the church and was Canon of York.
This work includes his dramatic poems Elfrida and Caractacus, plus, Musaeus: A Monody On The Death Of Mr Pope, and, odes, elegies, & epitaphs.

302 pages in total.

On the title page is the 19th century book label of E.W. Michel Northerwood, Lyndhurst ( a Georgian mansion in Hampshire), and a handwritten inscription to a member of the Michel family. On the title page of the first poem is the armorial device of the Michel family.

CONDITION
Antique full leather binding, leather has slight wear, marbled endpapers, gilt paper edges, all complete, a solid binding.
Size is 7¼ by 4¾ inches
