This is a CHOICE and RARE 18th century white metal medal, made in 1761 by 'B.G.', to commemorate the coronation of King George III and Queen Charlotte, the obverse with conjoined portrait busts facing right, reverse with Britannia and Neptune seated either side of a pedestal on which are two hearts surmounted by a crown and spear. Approaching 250 years old, and rare.

 

About 36mm in diameter. Reference: see Brown's British Historical Medals vol 1 item 34, which cites examples in white metal as being RARE.
