Selling here is George Fisher's 'The Instructor: or, Young Man's Best Companion,' printed in London for S. Birt, 1750, this the tenth edition. The contents are complete, meeting collation: xii,384p with frontispiece and 7 plates (1 folding). Small 8vo, bound in the worn remains of its original binding of full sheep.
Condition: The book measures 10cm by 17.1cm. The binding is worn and rubbed, upper board detached and lower board held by its cords, corners bumped and calf chipped with loss around the extremities.
The contents are holding firmly, pages generally in good condition though with some occasional dust soiling and scattered minor spots and marks. Brownish staining affecting pp37-46, though without loss of legibility. A few light pencil marks. Original plain end papers, with some early ink inscriptions at front and a 20th century owners bookplate.
