Many classic authors and timeless titles are included - see complete list below. Each book, in pdf format, is a scan of the original pages so you will be enjoying each book exactly as intended.
Many of these books were originally published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries - a period known as the 'Golden Age' of illustration. Hundreds of exquisite illustrations by leading artists of the day are featured. You find the work of Arthur Rackham, Virginia Frances Sterrett, Dugald Stewart Walker, Walter Crane, Howard Pyle, Louis Rhead, N C Wyeth, Ralph Caldecott and many others. A complete range of subject matter can be found ranging from nursery rhymes through to novels for young adults. Also included in this set are a small number of non-fiction children's titles. These include, for example, books on science, nature, hobbies, recreations and games for boys & girls.
