The rare first English translation of Synopsis Algebraica first published in Latin in 1693 by Joannes Alexander.

 This work of 191 pages is followed by a 128 page Appendix by Humphrey Ditton 1675-1715, master of the mathematical school in Christ's Hospital , London. The dedication page states that the publication of this work was paid for by the hospital.

CONDITION
Early 18th century leather binding, very worn with both boards detached, pages are slightly browned with some foxing. All complete with title pages, prefaces, index pages and dedication page. Some missnumbering of pages.
Size is 7¼ by 4½ inches
