This small volume is the first English edition of two works in Latin put together by the Bishop of Oxford John Fell 1625-1686 and published in Oxford in 1680, containing De Mortibus, a treatise about the deaths of emperors who persecuted Christians written by Lactantius c240-c320 AD, an early Christian writer and Latin speaking native of North Africa, followed by Accesserunt Passiones. An account of the martyrdom of saints taken from Passio Perpetuae. The first part has 108 pages, the second 56 pages, each with its own page numbering, 168 pages in total including title page and preface.
