ACID DYE FOR WOOL and SILK

 

Colour: Black

Weight:   15g

 

For dyeing yarns, tops or (scoured) raw fibres.

Can be used in the traditional stove-top method, or fixed by heating in a microwave oven. 

 

How to use:

·       Thoroughly wet the wool, silk or other animal fibre.

·       Mix the dye with hot water to the required strength; add a good dash of vinegar.

·       Place the wetted wool in the dye bath.

·       Either microwave on full for 8 minutes, or simmer on the stove for 20 minutes.

·       Leave to cool, then rinse to remove excess dye.

 

NB You are buying the small pot of dye only - the black dyed wool is shown to give an idea of the colour you can obtain with this dye.
