150+ Red Tiger Worms For Sale. These worms are from our home worm composting system and are ideal for setting up your own wormery, for fishing bait or feeding ornamental fish and birds. I harvest ours direct from or composting and waste recycling setup to feed them to our ducks and chickens. They are ideal for feeding wild birds or ornamental and domestic fowl, especially when they are chicks. Wild birds also love them and you can feed them direct to the birds or set up your own wormery and harvest them when their numbers have become sufficient. Please note that I have a number of friends and customers who regularly use them for fishing, but others say they are to small. I suppose it depends on what you are trying to catch. They come in a mixture of sizes ranging from about 3 to 10cm in length. They will be sent by first class post and I will post them Monday to Thursday on the same day as they are harvested. I will put them into the post in the afternoon to ensure that they spend as little time as possible in the postal system. They will be packaged in a breathable container to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. In order to ensure they stay alive I advise you to either put them straight into your compost bin or tip them into a bucket of compost or loamy soil upon arrival so they have some feeding and living material until you need them. If you want to keep them alive and grow them on for a while you can feed them on kitchen scraps layered on top of their living material. |
